Remembering 9/11

Arkansas City 9/11 Memorial; 3 flag posts, bell, flowers, and plaque

Members of the Arkansas City Fire-EMS Department and the public held a special ceremony on September 11, 2002, to dedicate a memorial to honor emergency workers who have given their lives in the line of duty and to those who continue to risk it all to save others.

The memorial was constructed by the members of the department and with the help of several area businesses and individuals.

The memorial was designed to honor those who died in the attacks across America on September 11th, 2001, but also for all the emergency workers who continue to work and serve the public.
