Ark City man arrested May 19 in connection with sexual assault
Henson accused of aggravated assault and battery, kidnapping, and rape
The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Arkansas City man May 19 in connection with the sexual assault of a 42-year-old Arkansas City woman.
Michael Loyd Henson, 40, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, criminal threat, kidnapping and rape. All of these charges are felonies.
He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.
Henson remained in custody at the time of this release.
The Arkansas City Fire-EMS and Police departments were dispatched May 19 for a report of a battery victim. The victim had extensive, obvious injuries that she reported were caused by Henson.
A search warrant was executed at a residence in Arkansas City and Henson was taken into custody.
