Boys Basketball:
Each winter boys basketball instruction, games, and tournaments are offered. Practices and games are scheduled during weekday evenings and weekends at the Rec Center, 225 East Fifth Avenue. The program offers a fun experience for youth while teaching them the benefits of teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, and fundamentals.

Girls Basketball:
Each fall girls basketball instruction, games, and tournaments are offered. Practices and games are scheduled during weekday evenings and weekends at the Rec Center. The program offers a fun experience for youth while teaching them the fundamentals of basketball.

1st & 2nd Grade Basketball:
1st and 2nd grade basketball program is set up to teach future bulldog basketball players fundamentals of passing, ball handling, shooting and teamwork… all in a fun format. This program will be held on Saturday afternoons in February for boys and girls in grades 1st and 2nd.

FOOTBALL:
Organized tackle football league for youth, the program includes instruction and weekend games in Ark City and surrounding league towns. Annual physical exams are required and are offered the second week in May. Participants receive the free physicals courtesy of USD 470. The Ark City Football association operates all program activities, including the post season invitational bowl games. All home games are played at Covey Field, South 6th Street and Lincoln.

BASEBALL:
Boys, ages 5-15, play baseball each summer in organized leagues and tournaments sponsored by the Ark City Baseball Association. All leagues play at Sleeth Park, M Street and Filmore Avenue, with the exception of the Babe Ruth League which plays at City Ballpark, 1500 S. Summit & 13 year old Prep League which plays at the high school baseball field. League is determined by age as of May 1, 2007.

Girls Fast Pitch Softball
Girls, ages 5-16, play softball each summer in organized leagues and tournaments sponsored by the Ark City Girls Fastpitch Softball Association. League games are played at Sleeth Park, M Street and Filmore Avenue in Ark City and Broadway Sports Complex in Winfield. League is determined based on age as of January 1, 2007 (T-ball players age 5 by April 1st).
T-ball - 5 and 6 year olds

12 and Under - 11 and 12 year olds
16 and Under - 13 - 16 year olds

SOCCER:
Organized soccer instruction, clinics, and games are offered each spring & fall by the Ark City Soccer Association. All games are played at the Charles Dow Sports Complex, 6th and Lincoln, during weekday evenings and weekend mornings and afternoons. Registration fee includes team drink. |

TENNIS:
Boys and girls tennis instruction is offered each summer under the professional direction of J.C. Louderback and Jan Krisik. Supervisor of instruction is Aaron O’Donnell Middle and High School Tennis Coach. Programs for boys and girls, grades 1st thru high school will be offered Monday thru Thursday.

Wrestling:
The Ark City Takedown Club and Freestyle Club offer wrestling for ages 5-16 throughout the year. Instruction is given in the fundamentals of wrestling and advanced technique. Opportunities for competition in local and out of town tournaments are available. Wrestlers are required to purchase a $30 USA card to participate in tournament competition. USA card provides insurance as well as entry to all Kansas tournaments. |
