Quality education at an affordable price is provided through a wide range of daytime and evening classes for both traditional and non-traditional students at Cowley College. Established as Arkansas City Junior College in 1922, Cowley College was the first community college in Kansas to combine general and technical curriculums in an effort to be responsive to both student and local industry needs.
Ireland Hall, the 1890 red-stained, stone high school, anchors the north end of the campus. The new exquisitely sculptured Brown Center for Arts, Sciences & Technology secures the south end.
Winfield is 14 miles north of Arkansas City via four-lane Hwy 77.
